About Insanity’s Daughter
I’m Valerie, insanity’s blogger, but you want to know about the blog, right?
This blog is about living better, period. Since that can cover a lot of ground, the blog’s focus is stress and the activities and techniques that help readers manage stress better or eliminate unproductive stress altogether.
Unproductive stress causes physical and emotional pain, and can devastate your health and relationships. It harms your productivity and negatively impacts your finances with minor illnesses, at first. Like poorly managed diabetes, poorly managed stress can lead to life threatening health events.
Needless to say, there’s a lot to talk about, so blog topics can include anything that will help. Anything, from meal planning to the best hobbies for stress relief, is fair game.
New posts appear once or twice a month. Now, if you’re a blogger you’ll wonder why posts don’t appear more often. The first reason? The Webmistress wants readers to have time to try a few things between posts. The second? The Webmistress works outside of the home during the school year and is often too tired to post more often. The third reason? The Webmistress is built for comfort, not for speed. I’m not going to spend my days doing the opposite of what this blog encourages – managing stress better, eliminating it when you can and finding relief that is reasonable and comforting.
By the way….
I use the term “Webmistress” because I’m learning about blogs on my own. I installed this blog on my own and manipulate the design all by myself…and it probably shows. I’m learning as I go so sign up for updates. Watching this site change as learn new tricks will be at least as interesting as reading the posts. However, there will be problems. When your download doesn’t work or you have other issues, contact me, the Webmistress, with the form below.
To the Webmistress...

My Back Pain Coach
"...I’ve had four procedures that involved needles in my spine, epidurals in my spine and that only gave me a little bit of temporary relief for a couple days. After my first session of Back Pain Relief4Life, I felt an opening in my back that I haven’t felt in a long time." - Michelle Onoff

Natural Stress Relief for Smart Women
“I came across the Stress Relief Toolkit at a time when I was particularly stressed. The weekly modules were very effective. I found it really useful to take time out each week to reflect on what was causing me stress and to plan what I could do differently to improve my stress levels over the coming week. ” -Julia Harris
